In Person VE Test Session.

Ham Radio VE License Tests are held once per month at the public library in Chanhassen MN. Look for us at the Longfellow conference room.

Due to on-going construction, your best option for parking might be across the street at one of the grocery stores. There is small parking ramp with limited disabled and general parking spaces next to the library building.

When this message was written 10/21/2025 the government was shut down, including the FCC website. Testing for licenses is still being done. But updates and changes won't show up on the FCC website until the government and FCC re-open.

If you want to upgrade your license we can do it. The change won't show up on the FCC website until the governemnt re-opens. If you pass your test you will append your call license to show it is in progress of being updated.

If this will be your first ham radio license you will need an FRN number for your paper work to be completed.

If you don't have an existing FCC issued FRN number, you won't be able to get an FRN until the government re-opens.

You CAN be tested and get into the cue line with your license request. Once the government re-opens we will back fill your paperwork with your FRN number.

Bring your Photo ID, and $14 in cash or check to pay your test fee.
