- Please disregard any PIN information during registration, it is not needed for in-person exams.
- All are welcome- please let us know ahead of time if you need any accommodations.
- Walk-ins are allowed but pre-registration is strongly recommended. We do not guarantee examination without pre-registration.
- You will need an FCC Registration Number (FRN) to register. That is done in FCC CORES here. Here are the instructions once you get there.
- All applicants must follow what to bring to an amateur radio exam session.
- Looking for credit from an expired license toward a new license? Need to take an exam to restore your old license privileges? Don't know what you need to do? Use the email address above and give us some information regarding your situation. We'd love to help get you back on the air. Renewals of current licenses or those within the 2 year grace period can be processed for TCARA members only.
- You will receive an email confirmation and information regarding exam fee payment after registration.
- New applicants - please be aware that your address will be publicly listed on the FCC website as a licensed radio amateur. PO Boxes/alternate addresses may be used if you have privacy concerns.
