Amateur Radio License Examination Session Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026 Time: 10:00 AM (Please arrive as close to 10:00 AM as possible.) Location: 45 Spears Lane Danville, KY The examination session typically lasts at least one hour, depending on the number of applicants and the elements being tested. Registration To help expedite check-in, please register in advance for the exam session. Walk-ins are welcome if space permits, however, you must already have an FCC Registration Number (FRN) before arriving. FCC Registration Number (FRN) If you are planning to walk in, please obtain your FRN before the test session. The FCC registration system is occasionally unavailable due to weekend maintenance. If the FCC system is offline, we may not be able to register you on-site without an existing FRN. If you already hold any FCC-issued license (such as Amateur Radio, GMRS, Commercial Radio, or another FCC service), use your existing FRN. Do not create a new FRN. What to Bring Please bring the following: A valid government-issued photo ID Your FCC Registration Number (FRN) $14 cash examination fee We can make change for a $20 bill, if needed. Directions From Lexington Take I-64 West to Exit 53 (US-127 South). Continue south on US-127 through Salvisa and around Harrodsburg toward Danville. Turn left onto KY-2168, continue to the roundabout at Shakertown Road, and take the third exit onto Spears Lane. The entrance will be just ahead on the right. Proceed through the gate to the testing location. From Frankfort Take US-127 South through Salvisa and around Harrodsburg toward Danville.
