MCARC VE Team - McGonigle Ambulance

The Mercer County Amateur Radio Club-sponsored VE Team looks forward to assisting you in getting your Technician, General or Amateur Extra Class license. Our next exam session is on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at McGonigle Ambulance Service, 1615 East State Street, Hermitage, PA. We will begin at 10am. Please register by going to www.HamStudy.org, and find our Hermitage exam session. You will then be able to pre-register, which will include all your pertinent information.

You may bring a calculator to the exam session. However, if it has memory, we must clear it. The calculator must not be able to get on the internet.

The fee to take an exam is $15. This will allow you to take any license exam for which you do not already have credit. If you choose to retake a failed exam, you will be required to pay an additional $15. The fee can be paid by cash, check or money order. Checks should be made out to Michael S. Varga.

The exam(s) will be administered electronically. Please bring a charged laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

Make sure you have a valid FRN before pre-registering. This can be obtained via the FCC website.

We look forward to serving you!
